Long established, they are currently investing in new laboratory facilities, internal processes and mostly importantly developing employees to meet the challenges of a changing environment.
They are seeking a Technical Sales Specialist for the inks, coatings and paints industries. The successful candidate will provide technical and commercial support through regular visits and meetings. Although much of the business will be managing existing accounts both large and small there will be scope for new business development.
Focusing on the paints, coatings and inks industry, it is essential that you have has some relevant laboratory experience. Key to the success of the organisation, is the habitual use of the CRM system which provides key commercial information and manages project development workflow.
If you are a Chemist and wishes to move into a commercial role, our client will provide full training and mentoring.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Business Manager for Paints, Coatings and Inks.
Management of sales in the paints, coatings and inks industry across the UK and Ireland for a range of speciality chemicals.
Achievement of quarterly and annual sales budget for a range of defined chemicals and technical products at defined prices.
Develop and support engaging customer relationships through frequent customer meetings and achieving service levels that demonstrate the company values.
Complete customer meeting reports in a timely manner, ensuring competitor and market information is kept up to date.
Attend regular company meetings and liaise with Line Manager on a daily/weekly basis.
Support all sales and marketing activities within the Business Unit and across the wider company, including attending exhibitions, seminars and industry relevant functions.
Candidate Profile:
Technical person conversant in and knowledgeable in the formulation and/or manufacture of the paint, coatings and inks.
Experience of rheology modifiers, dispersants and defoamers and additives would be of benefit.
Customer facing experience
UK driving licence
Excellent communication skills across all levels of an organisation.
Ability to analyse, execute and fulfil customer technical and purchasing requirements.
A team player with a growth mindset and the drive to succeed. Actively engages with Industry associations.
Technical education to BSc or equivalent industrial experience.
Determination, energy, tenacity, enthusiasm, loyalty.
