Our client is a growing software company based in Germany. They support the data and compliance management requirements of life science research organisations across the globe. To support their ongoing product development strategy they are looking for a Technical Product Owner (m/f/d)
This is a pivotal role in the development and enhancement of their flagship research compliance software. You will be responsible for leading the product’s agile development team and translating the product vision into actionable development work that aligns with our customers' needs and regulatory requirements.
You will work closely with the senior leadership team (SLT), internal stakeholders, and customers worldwide, shaping the product road map, managing the backlog, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions.
Your Key Responsibilities
Define and prioritize the product backlog in alignment with business objectives and user needs.
Collaborate with the SLT and cross-functional stakeholders to develop and communicate the product vision and strategy.
Lead the Scrum team through the development life cycle using Agile best practices.
Create clear user stories, define acceptance criteria, and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Work in close coordination with developers, UX designers, and QA engineers to deliver successful product releases.
Analyse market trends and gather feedback from users to inform product decisions.
Ensure the software complies with relevant research and regulatory standards.
Act as the primary point of contact for product-related matters both internally and externally.
Your Profile
2–3 years of experience as a Technical Product Owner or Product Manager in a software development environment.
Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Product Owner certification is a plus.
Experience in research compliance, life sciences, or regulatory software is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills in German and English – both written and spoken.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
You must have the right to live and work in the European Union. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Technical Skills
Comfortable working with developers and translating business needs into technical requirements.
Familiarity with SQL, .NET Core, .NET Framework, C#, and Angular (no hands-on coding required).
Solid understanding of system architecture and software development processes.
