Our client is a leading supplier of industrial chemicals and minerals and part of an international organisation who are seeking an experienced sales chemical professional. As Sales Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of revenue growth and market expansion, driving profitability while leading a high-performing Sales and Customer Services team. You’ll cultivate strong customer relationships, shape game-changing market strategies, and ensure solutions are presented with maximum impact.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a sales strategy alongside the Commercial Director/MD
Lead and develop the Sales and Customer Services teams to optimize revenue and profitability
Analyze market trends and identify growth opportunities
Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain to align product availability with demand
Communicate value propositions through compelling proposals and presentations
Build and maintain strong customer relationships
Monitor competitor activity and sector-specific trends
Oversee sales budgets and customer account direction
Support customer and product technical enquiries, conducting visits as necessary
Ensure prompt resolution of customer complaints in line with procedures
Drive new product and market development initiatives
Lead marketing strategy and maintain up-to-date records on industry players
Manage sales databases and ensure timely submission of reports and forecasts
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience leading teams and developing sales strategies
Degree in a relevant field
Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals
Experience in managing marketing strategies
Excellent commercial awareness; industry knowledge in chemicals with experience in water treatment, construction, civil engineering, environmental applications is advantageous
Full clean driving licence
Must live within a reasonable commute to the site and be willing to be onsite 2 days per week
