Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers in the composite sector across the UK and Ireland, contributing as an integral part of the global composite team including participation in international projects and strategic initiatives.
Drive business growth by identifying new customers and opportunities for innovative materials.
Manage and strengthen relationships with key accounts in the UK and Ireland, leveraging a broad customer base.
Foster and maintain proactive relationships through regular customer engagement, typically involving on-site visits three days per week.
Take ownership of sales performance, including delivering regional sales targets in collaboration with the Sales Director, providing timely sales forecasts, and analyzing any variances to the budget to implement corrective actions.
Oversee the management of principal suppliers and maintain regular reporting.
Scout for new raw materials and explore potential applications to drive innovation in the marketplace.
Explore new market opportunities to expand the business footprint.
Develop and manage project pipelines to ensure sales opportunities are executed efficiently and effectively.
Ensure all sales activities are transparent, planned, and systematically recorded within the CRM system.
Monitor and report competitor pricing and other key market information.
Candidate Profile:
A highly motivated sales professional with at least 3 years’ experience working within the composites industry
Degree in Chemistry or related subject
A comprehensive understanding of composite technology, innovation and regulatory trends that are driving these markets
An effective communicator with the proven ability to negotiate and close deals.
Demonstrated experience of working at all customer levels
The ability to lead on technical discussions and form effective relationships with technical teams
Highly organized, strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills
Driven to deliver on an individual level and part of a team
UK driving licence is essential. Regular travel to visit customers across UK & Ireland with the occasional European travel.
Must reside in the UK with the right to work, sponsorship is not available.
