Exciting Procurement Manager opportunity with an innovative manufacturer of cosmetics, skin care and personal care products. This is a newly created role working within a dynamic management team, you will be tasked with optimising the purchase of raw materials, packaging and supporting the business growth. You will have raw materials and chemical purchasing experience with excellent communication skills.

Key Tasks

  • Managing the purchase and timely receipt of all required raw materials and components relating to agreed sales orders.

  • Ensure the best prices are achieved and maintained at all times

  • Manage the company’s stock holding in monetary terms.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate and onboard suppliers for raw materials, packaging and other necessary components specific to the cosmetic industry

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers, ensuring timely deliveries, quality standards, and competitive pricing

  • Continuously seek new suppliers to expand our network and mitigate risks associated with single source dependencies

  • Lead the sourcing process, utilising market research, industry trends and client requirements to identify the most suitable suppliers

  • Collaborate with production and planning teams to forecast material needs and maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking

  • Implement inventory control measures to reduce waste, minimise holding costs, and ensure efficient use of storage space

  • Ensure that all procurement activities adhere to relevant regulations and compliance standards, including ethical sourcing practices

Candidate Profile

  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and supply chain management in the chemicals industry ideally with knowledge of the cosmetic or personal care industry

  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build strong supplier relationships

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to utilise data to drive decision-making and improve processes

  • Solid understanding of inventory management and cost optimisation strategies

  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements in the cosmetic industry

  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and team management skills
