Our client is a major manufacturer and supplier of chemicals, polymers and raw materials who is focused on innovation to support a sustainable future. Great opportunity to join the commercial team to develop sales of speciality chemicals and performance polymers to the CASE industries. Dynamic and charismatic, you will have chemical sales experience, with knowledge of the coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomer industries.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and be responsible for the sales performance of your Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants & Elastomers (CASE) customers in the UK.

  • Key interface for all commercial negotiations and technical enquiries for your customers.

  • Analyse the customer decision-making processes and manage contacts at various levels within the respective customer organisations.

  • Identify business potentials (including cross selling of products from the portfolio, but also with other business units) and leverage at existing and new accounts.

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities at your customers, gathering such information and using it to develop opportunities for growth.

  • Propose and collaborate in joint projects, e.g., development projects with customers, logistic concepts, and internal projects.

Profile

  • Ideally be educated to degree level and will demonstrate entrepreneurial drive and first class customer relationship skills with an aptitude for people, products and customers.

  • Knowledge of the CASE Industries would be an advantage, but not essential.

  • Several years of commercial years' experience.

  • Innovative, self-motivated and who is extremely customer-focused.

  • First class negotiation, decision making and communication skills.

  • A full driving license is required as this role will involve a significant amount of travel within the UK.

  • This position can be either office based or also home-based depending on location.
