Exciting opportunity to drive business within the home care and I & I industries in the UK as part of an international distribution organisation. If you are dynamic and ambitious with a strong technical background, this role encompasses project management, business development and technical support to colleagues.
Key Objects:
The purpose of the role is to help manage and develop existing and new Customer Accounts both commercially and technically within the UK and Ireland on the Home Care & I & I focused side of the business unit.
Reporting to the Market Manager and closely working with other Account Managers, Product Managers and Technical Managers/Chemists within the organisation.
You will be working from your office/home-base with the expectation of regular travel to customers (approximately 120 per annum) and to attend team, supplier training and industry events as required.
Responsibilities:
Manage, nurture and grow a portfolio of customers and prospects to ensure budgetary targets are met/exceeded
Identify and canvass new customer targets
Develop in-depth technical knowledge of the comprehensive personal care and home care product portfolio and apply to the development /formulation of sales kits in coordination with the technical team.
To handle product enquiries and business opportunities, and to contact customers directly
To monitor relevant sales to ensure that the correct level of profitability is maintained
To ensure that all price increases are implemented on time, and in accordance with our processes
To seek and follow through new business opportunities at accounts
To take ownership for the B2B onboarding of customers
Ideal Candidate:
Has experience and a keen interest in the Home Care & I & I Industry and is aware of the structure, trends and issues facing the UK industry
Has a strong technical and commercial background, ideally gained through experience within the UK and Irish Market
Be academically qualified with a degree in Chemistry or related subject
Be highly organised, disciplined, self-motivated, and comfortable working from home
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the confidence to engage with all levels of management
Has a strong commercial acumen – has a high regard for accuracy and is confident navigating and presenting commercial data with the wider team
Be driven by the need to achieve sales growth and have a persistent approach when faced with difficulties and challenges
Knowledge of CRM systems
You must be located in the Midlands or Southern England with a current UK driving license.
You must have the right to work in the UK, sponsorship is not available with this role
