Location: Home based role with regular visits to UK offices

​Exciting Account Manager role for with a leading European chemical manufacturer and distributor. You will be responsible for new business opportunities and managing customer accounts, exclusive portfolio and UK territory for the CASE industries. The successful candidate will have a commercial background in chemical commodity and specialty sales for the Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants and Elastomer industries. Working closely with customers, you will provide technical support for manufacturers including bespoke chemicals, exclusive products and logistics support.

 

Key Tasks

  • Managing an extensive portfolio of commodity and specialty chemicals you will become an integral member of the CASE business unit.

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and convert the sales pipeline

  • Manage and develop customer accounts, portfolio and market territories

  • Grow existing customer spends, improve profitability, and develop the sales product portfolio

  • Prepare sales quotes for customers

  • Manage and create strong, trusted relationships with customers to maintain, grow and improve profitability

  • Work closely with the procurement team to ensure product requirements are sourced and met

  • Participate in regular departmental sales meetings

 

Candidate Profile

  • Sales experience of chemicals and speciality chemicals into the coatings. adhesives, sealants or elastomer industries.

  • A science Degree would be preferable and technical experience in the coatings. adhesives, sealants or elastomer will be advantageous

  • You will be an effective team member who is self motivated and driven to meet targets.

  • You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills

  • A UK driving licence is essential, you will be required to travel with overnight stays.

  • You must have the right to work in the UK, sponsorship is not available.
