Location: Leeds Office
Our client is the partner for a major manufacturer of a range of specialty chemicals, additives, plant extracts and food ingredients. Due to the growth of the business in Europe and UK, they are seeking sales executives to join the sales team. You will be responsible for business relationships and sales in the UK and Europe and take ownership of the plant extract range and focus on the food ingredient, nutrition, nutraceutical, cosmetic and pharmaceutical sectors. Based at the UK office in Leeds you can expect 10% travel.
Key responsibilities
To support the company on its strategy to develop within the European market
To seek opportunities for growth by developing business relationships with current distributors and Key Accounts
Pro-actively searching for new customers in the European market
To define and analyse competitors’ strategy, products, prices, and other relevant information, such as market trend, changes of customer need, competitor activities and customer feedbacks
To research and identify customer needs and apply appropriate commercial and coordinate technical support to achieve sales growth with them;
To organize product presentation to the Key Account or public presentation with the selected customers.
Organize technical presentations with the support of the formulation and scientific team
To work closely with the distributors and Key Accounts to keep updated on the number of visits, sales, stocks, samples, etc.
To participate in the local and international exhibitions.
To implement and fulfil the tasks given by sales director.
Essential requirements for the role:
You are an enthusiastic sales/ technical executive with an interest in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, ingredients, nutrition, and cosmetic market
You are educated to a degree-level in a scientific discipline.
Proficient in English, and comfortable understanding from a technical level
You are able to analyse the market, marketing and sales planning.
Strong business acumen ad B2B experience
You have high interpersonal competence and negotiation skill.
Willingness to travel in Europe to meet customers when possible
You are able to work independently under remote management
You are self-driven and proactive
