European Sales Manager – Additives for Lubricants, Oils & Metalworking Fluids
Location: Western Europe (Home-Based)
Travel: Approx. 30–40% across Europe

The company is expanding its European presence and is now seeking a skilled Sales Manager to drive growth across lubricant, oils, greases, and metalworking sectors.
The Role
You will take responsibility for sales and business development across Europe for a portfolio of speciality ingredients used in lubricants, oils, greases and metalworking fluid formulations. This is a technical sales role requiring strong market knowledge, customer engagement and commercial focus.
Key Responsibilities
Grow sales of additives, resins, polymers and functional materials across European lubricant and metalworking sectors.
Develop new business with manufacturers of lubricants, industrial oils, greases, hydraulic fluids, cutting fluids & process oils.
Manage and expand relationships with customers and global principals.
Provide technical guidance and performance insight to customer formulation and R&D teams.
Achieve revenue, margin and customer targets in line with agreed KPIs.
Build a robust sales pipeline and keep all activities updated in CRM.
Provide forecasting, market intelligence and competitor feedback.
Represent the company at technical conferences, customer visits and European trade events.
Collaborate closely with Business Management, Marketing and Technical Support teams.
Candidate Profile
Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or similar.
Strong technical understanding of lubricants, oils, greases or metalworking fluids.
Successful track record in technical sales, account management or business development within speciality chemicals.
Ability to translate technical performance benefits into commercial value.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Experienced with CRM systems, forecasting and sales reporting.
Self-motivated, organised and able to work independently.
Right to work in Europe (no sponsorship provided).
Willingness to travel across Europe 30–40%.
