As a Sales and Technical Service Manager, your mission is clear: sell developed polymer systems to new customers, aligning with strategic goals. You'll collaborate closely with Commercial Managers, ensuring that assigned accounts receive top-notch technical support and service. Your role involves staying at the forefront of market trends and working with NBD Chemists to introduce new products to new customers, offering support at every step.
Safety First: Uphold EH&S and compliance standards during all technical service activities. Provide essential training to customers on processing, product quality, and chemical safety, aligning with industry standards.
Product Expertise: Equip customers with in-depth information about our products and services. Answer their questions, address concerns, and maintain comprehensive records of customer interactions.
Account Management: Actively manage assigned accounts by optimizing our sales approach. Plan regular communication and visits, ensuring market information is effectively reported back to the business.
Driving Growth: Be a driving force in winning new business in line with our strategic direction. Engage with our NBD portfolio, identifying and pursuing opportunities promptly and collaboratively.
R&D Collaboration: Prepare comprehensive business cases for new opportunities requiring technical work. Collaborate with Sales and Portfolio Managers and Technical Manager to define R&D scope and engage in the NBD PMO process.
Technical Knowledge: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of polymer processing, including process equipment. Communicate technical information about the product range effectively.
Issue Resolution: Prioritize customer visits for resolving processing and product quality issues. Collaborate with the Quality Manager to address concerns and present additional products and services to benefit our customers.
Industry Relationships: Cultivate relationships with industry machine providers, helping them commission machines using polymer materials.
Education: Chemistry degree or comparable experience.
Technical Knowledge: Relevant polyurethane chemistry knowledge, will be your foundation. Knowledge of PU high and low-pressure machines and PU market insights will be valuable assets
Effective Communication: Your ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely will set you apart.
Customer-Centric Approach: Building strong customer relationships and providing customer-centric solutions will be second nature to you.
Sense of Urgency: You thrive on taking on new challenges with enthusiasm and a sense of urgency.
Commercially savvy: Customer facing and sales experience would be beneficial.
