Our client is an independent adhesive manufacturer producing and supplying solvent-based and water-based adhesives to a wide range of industries across the UK and worldwide. Their business is growing steadily and as such they are now seeking a Technical Sales Manager to support with account management and new business development as well as providing technical assistance to the team and customers when required. This is a hands-on, commercially focused role ideal for someone with a strong technical background in adhesives or polymers who is keen to grow into a broader business management position.
Key Responsibilities
All commercial activities including business growth and technical customer support.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, products and markets.
Manage and develop key accounts with excellent technical and service support.
Provide technical advice and product recommendations to customers.
Respond to customer enquiries and troubleshoot adhesive applications.
Support production, quality control and logistics functions.
Liaise with suppliers to ensure consistent supply, quality, and pricing of raw materials.
Travel within the UK for customer visits and occasional international travel for industry events
Candidate Requirements
Strong technical knowledge of adhesives, polymers, coatings, or related materials.
Technical or commercial experience within the adhesives, polymers, or chemical industry.
Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or related field preferred
Confident communicator with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
Organised, adaptable, and able to prioritise across multiple functions.
Full UK driving license required
Must possess the right to work in the UK, sponsorship is not provided.
