Our client is an independent adhesive manufacturer producing and supplying solvent-based and water-based adhesives to a wide range of industries across the UK and worldwide. Their business is growing steadily and as such they are now seeking a Technical Sales Manager to support with account management and new business development as well as providing technical assistance to the team and customers when required. This is a hands-on, commercially focused role ideal for someone with a strong technical background in adhesives or polymers who is keen to grow into a broader business management position.

Key Responsibilities

  • All commercial activities including business growth and technical customer support.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, products and markets.

  • Manage and develop key accounts with excellent technical and service support.

  • Provide technical advice and product recommendations to customers.

  • Respond to customer enquiries and troubleshoot adhesive applications.

  • Support production, quality control and logistics functions.

  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure consistent supply, quality, and pricing of raw materials.

  • Travel within the UK for customer visits and occasional international travel for industry events

Candidate Requirements

  • Strong technical knowledge of adhesives, polymers, coatings, or related materials.

  • Technical or commercial experience within the adhesives, polymers, or chemical industry.

  • Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or related field preferred

  • Confident communicator with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.

  • Organised, adaptable, and able to prioritise across multiple functions.

  • Full UK driving license required

  • Must possess the right to work in the UK, sponsorship is not provided.
