Our client is an International manufacturer of polymers, additives and chemicals for application in the plastics industry. They are seeking a Senior R & D Chemist / Polymer Scientist to develop polymers, formulate, compound and transfer into production. The ideal candidate will be willing to work closely with customers providing technical support to the sales team and manage customer on site trials. Experience of compounding and PVC polymers is essential.
Responsibilities:
Support the Technical Manager in the development, testing and production of polymers and additives.
Develop new products and improve existing ones.
Provide technical support to sales team including customer visits and attending to customer enquiries.
Carry out on site trials
Candidate profile
Qualified to Degree in Chemistry or Polymer Science
Several years of experience in the development, formulation and compounding of PVC polymers and additives
UK driving license
You must have the right to work in the UK - sponsorship is not available.
