LOCATION: UK/Ireland Home Office Based
Exciting commercial role with a successful, established and growing chemical distributor to develop new business and manage existing accounts within their industrial applications sector. You will promote a specialist portfolio of products and work with a sourcing and commercial team to drive forward sales and diversify the product portfolio and customers.
The successful candidate will have a technical understanding of the requirements of producers of these products as well as a proven track record in new business development.
Responsibilities
Achievement of budget and KPI’s as set on an annual basis.
Management of key accounts
Business development by generating growth through finding opportunities with new customers, new products and identifying new products for existing and new markets/applications.
Frequent travel in the UK and Ireland for face to face customer visits
Recording of customer data and interactions within a CRM System.
Accurate reporting of sales figures and opportunity pipeline to Line Management.
Representation of the Company at trade events.
Candidate Requirements
Experience of selling to manufacturing industries including those producing for metal working fluids, lubricants and greases and HI&I.
A good knowledge of both industrial and consumer surfactants and complimentary raw materials.
Strong commercial acumen with an ability to identify new business and margin growth opportunities.
Ideally has worked within the chemicals distribution industry.
Determined business developer who can identify growth opportunities and deliver results.
Well organised and able to manage sales opportunity pipelines effectively.
Confident and able build rapport with customers within purchasing and technical departments and at various levels of organisations including senior management.
Solution selling skills
Technical background
Chemistry graduate or similar technical qualification preferred.
Experience of CRM and MS Office IT systems.
Right to work within the UK is essential
Able to regularly visit the Head Office and commercial team in Southern England
Full UK driving license is essential
