​Our client is a highly successful, fast growing and dynamic supplier of commodity and specialty chemicals to the paint, coatings, inks, resin, textile, adhesives, construction and plastics industries. The customer base is primarily in the European region with a growth plan to extend further sales in Middle East, Africa, Americas and ultimately in Asia.

 

Our client is seeking a Sales Professional to help develop sales in Europe and implement the global business plan. You will take responsibility for maintaining and increasing sales in your region, often through direct relationships with the customers. The candidate will have excellent relationship management skills with the ability to make quick decisions in line with this fast-growing trading Company. In addition, they will be able to influence and negotiate in a highly effective way.

 

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Implement and deliver an annual sales plan for region

  • Assist the Sales team to deliver and exceed target volumes and margins set

  • Build effective sales and account management processes

  • Establish, maintain and expand customer base in territory

  • Build productive long-lasting relationships with customers.

  • Grow the product portfolio in line with the customer/market opportunities

  • Visit customers on a regular basis to meet set targets and objectives.

  • Increase business opportunities and build volumes/contracts with every customer

  • Produce an accurate deliverable monthly Sales forecast for their region

  • Share valuable information and knowledge where commercial opportunities are identified

 

Candidate Profile

  • Sales experience in the Chemical Industry selling into Coatings, Paints, Adhesives and Associated applications.

  • Self-motivated and proven sales track record of achieving/exceeding targets

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong communicator and influencer.Is empathetic, and able to handle conflict and pressure. Works well in team but comfortable to travel and visit customers alone; comfortable working with individuals at all organizational levels;

  • Understanding and administered Formula contracts including feedstock and market elements

  • Fluency in foreign languages including English

  • Ability to solve problems in a speedy and effective way

  • Must have the right to work in Europe, be resident in Europe. Ideal locations Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, UK, France, Germany. Must be near an international airport.
