Location: Home based UK
Our client is a leading international distributor of speciality chemicals and raw materials; due to continued growth they are looking for a product manage to join the coatings and construction business unit. This wide-ranging role will be responsible for the sales and marketing of the coatings and inks portfolio of the UK and Ireland.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the market manager, sales and marketing of the Coatings and Inks range
To monitor and grow sales in the UK & Ireland
To help formulate strategy within the relevant lines of business within the UK and rest of Europe
To foster excellent relations with suppliers and customers
To provide commercial and technical support to UK account managers
To travel to customers for joint visits together with Account Managers
To travel to supplier meetings as required
To negotiate purchase and sales contracts with suppliers and customers
To balance the supply and demand of products and manage an overview of the logistics / supply chain
To monitor customer service, technical and product requirements
To support the development of new distributorships
Ideal Candidate:
Be a self-motivated individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills in all environments
Be able to take information and distil and re-distribute the relevant parts as appropriate
Be able to work as part of a team
Have some sales or product management experience in the Coatings and Inks industry
Be IT literate having a working knowledge of Microsoft Applications and CRM systems.
Strong analytical skills - ability to analyse, manipulate, interpret, and present data
Have a strong attention to detail, identifying and proactively highlighting any data discrepancies and / or potential issues in logistics / supply chain
Be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and to prioritise accordingly.
Must have the right to work is the UK sponsorship is not available
Homebased - national travel and must have a UK driving license
