​Hybrid working - with office in South East England

Exciting role to join a leading chemical distributor working closely with Principals within the compounding sector. You will support sales activity for additives for polymer compounding. You will be part of a professional team who provide first class products and technical support for customers in the UK. Brilliant training in products and career mentoring will ensure a great progression career within a global organization. You will need knowledge of the polymer and compounding industry.

Responsibilities:

  • To monitor and grow sales in the UK & Ireland

  • To help formulate strategy within the relevant lines of business within the UK and rest of Europe

  • To foster excellent relations with suppliers and customers. You will be focused on the small suppliers in the polymer additives sector

  • To provide commercial and technical support to UK account managers

  • To negotiate purchase and sales contracts with suppliers and customers

  • To balance the supply and demand of products and manage the logistics

  • To monitor customer service, technical and product requirements

  • To support the development of new distributorships

Candidate Profile

  • Be a self-motivated individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills in all environments

  • Have some product management experience (1-2 years) in the distribution of speciality materials and additives in the compounding industry.

  • Be IT literate having a working knowledge of Microsoft Applications, ERP and CRM systems.

  • Strong analytical skills - ability to analyse, manipulate, interpret, and present data

  • Have a strong attention to detail, identifying and proactively highlighting any data discrepancies

  • Be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and to prioritise accordingly.

  • Be a team worker with a friendly manner.
