Our client is a highly successful and prestigious manufacturing company, they have recently invested in a new powder coating plant and are seeking an experienced powder coating professional to manage the new plant. This broad ranging role will involve managing the workforce, production line and quality control department. Reporting to the company directors, you will have P & L responsibility and ensure health & safety and regulatory and legislation compliance.
Responsibilities:
Management of the powder coating plant to ensure production efficiency and the production schedule is achieved. Full P & L responsibility for plant.
Leadership of the multi-skilled work force, setting of shift patterns and allocation of work.
Creating and execute daily, weekly, monthly and annual production schedules. Shift patterns are varied depending on customer orders.
Implement appropriate safety procedures and ensure a safe working environment, striving for zero recorded injuries in compliance with internal policies and external legislation.
Management of the quality control department to ensure standards are met.
Ordering of raw materials and source new suppliers.
Liaise with customers for new business, quoting of work and ongoing support.
Candidate Profile
Experience of powder coating application, including managing production schedules is essential.
Management experience of powder plant and a staff is essential, with up to date knowledge of current safe work practices and legislation.
Experience of P & L would be preferred, good numeracy and literacy are essential for this role.
Customer facing experience and quotation for work would be an advantage.
