Our Client is a leading speciality chemicals distributor, the business is growing and the sales teams is looking for enthusiastic people to join the team. You will have a science Degree and live close to the office and be confident in dealing with people on the phone and in person. Full commercial training and support as you discover the exciting world of pharmaceutical manufacturing & fine chemicals manufacturing. Key to your success is an interest in science and technology innovation.

Job Summary:

  • Operates as an information hub and problem-solver for the Pharmaceutical and Fine Chemicals Division.

  • Ensure smooth passage of sales as required through the organisation from new enquiries through to delivery of goods.

  • Ensure high level of customer service and customer satisfaction.

  • Provide technical and administrative backup for the sales team. Assist Pharma and Fine Chemicals Management as required Responsibilities External enquiry co-ordination

  • Receive and progress customer enquiries (telephone & email/ web) of a technical and commercial nature to the satisfaction of the customer and within a specified timescale.

  • Confidently and proactively contact customers to provide technical/commercial information.

  • Handle multiple enquiries and follow-ups at the same time, with differing timescales and resolutions. Internal co-ordination of sales team activity

  • Act as a proactive source of information for the field sales team.

  • Preparation of reports, presentations, and figures for internal & external use.

  • Close co-operation with Business Support - accounts, credit control, logistics, HS&E.

  • Maintain Customer Relationship Management database

  • Support Marketing activities as necessary.

  • Liaise with team members in the organisation of sales events. Provide a single point of contact for suppliers

  • Maintain and improve relationships between company and our suppliers. Deputise for team members as required.

Skills and attributes

  • Science graduate

  • Good attention to detail

  • Team player with friendly customer service attitude

  • Ability to self-motivate

  • Fluent in English in both verbal and written communication

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint.
