Due to continued growth, our client is looking for a dynamic Sales Executive to drive business expansion through strategic lead generation, customer engagement, and commercial focus. Whether you have prior sales experience or a background in the chemical industry, this varied and exciting role will equip you with full training, setting you up for success.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Achieve budgeted targets, objectives, and KPI’s

  • Conduct market analysis and provide key reporting

  • Develop and execute Sales Development strategies with Market Managers and leadership

  • Identify and engage with potential customers and markets

  • Generate and close sales leads effectively

  • Maintain records of all customer interactions within the CRM platform

  • Prioritize opportunities that align with business objectives

  • Proactively contribute to sales growth through qualified and strategic proposals

  • Build strong relationships with existing and new customers

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance service levels

Your Profile:

  • Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or similar

  • Sales experience in chemicals, polymers, or lab-based roles looking to transition into a commercial role

  • Excellent telephone manner and people skills to foster strong customer relationships

  • Strong technical, analytical, and negotiation skills

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities

  • Ability to work independently, leveraging data to drive decisions

  • Passionate about creating new business opportunities

  • Understanding of technical sales cycles and market dynamics

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Full UK driving licence and willing to visit customers

  • You must live or be willing to relocate to Manchester
