​Home based or Office based

Amazing role offering career development with an international supplier of speciality chemicals and raw materials. You will be responsible for identify and developing new business within the converters, compounders and composite sectors. A natural commercial aptitude is essential, training and mentoring will allow you to develop your commercial skills and market knowledge in a rapidly growing, fast paced, trend driven market

Responsibilities:

  • Contacting potential or existing customers to promote new or existing products

  • Building long-term customer relationships

  • Working closely with Product Managers and Market Managers, accessing their support and technical expertise so you can respond to customers technical, commercial and operational questions

  • Entering and updating customer information on CRM, adding samples, opportunities, follow up reports, quotations, and price renewal campaigns.

  • Understanding customer activity and their needs to propose solutions to enhance our product offering and increase product penetration at the customer accounts.

  • Following up on repeat orders and/or lost business and where required provide customer forecasts to relevant business stakeholders.

  • Conducting profiling exercises and market research in relation to current and potential customers in order to have a targeted approach on cross selling and maximizing sales by application.

  • Rolling out mini product promotion campaigns (outside of those Group-led) with the support of the UK Marketing & Communications Team.

  • Identifying and setting up new customers on CRM and registering them to the platform

  • Supporting special projects as defined by business needs and agreed with Business Unit Manager

Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills

  • A degree in chemistry is desirable but not essential or minimum 2 years’ experience within a relevant field (polymers / plastics / compounding / composites).

  • Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to multitask

  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and resilient, with a ‘can-do’, flexible attitude

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to adapt to a range of stakeholders

  • Previous experience working in a commercial role with proven ability to grow business

  • Motivated to win new business

  • You must have the right to work in the UK, sponsorship is not available
