Location: Home Based in Europe with extensive travel to Asia
Exciting role to manage export activities for a leading French manufacturer of cosmetics and personal care products. You will manage exports for a wide range of raw materials and innovative finished products including skin care, cosmetics and sun care across the Far East region. Knowledge of formulation of cosmetics, skin care and sun care products is essential. Export knowledge and proven track record across the region is essential.

Established for many years, with a world class reputation, a strong client base and an extensive portfolio of products which includes skin care, sun care and colour care applications. They are seeking a passionate and driven Export Manager to support exports and develop business in the Far East
The successful candidate will have a proven record in export from Europe into the Far East with strong technical background gained in the cosmetics and personal care industries, knowledge of colour and fragrance would be advantageous. Fluent English or French with good communication skills and a drive and determination are required along with good organisation skills.
Reporting into the CEO, the Export Manager will take responsibility for all exports to the Far East region.
Responsible for regular customer contact through visits, emails and telephone. Recording all activities in CRM.
Regular liaison with the R & D team based in France to ensure understanding of the new products and new technologies.
Provide technical solutions to customer problems and able to lead technical discussions.
Monitor and report on new technology and materials, market trends and competitor activity.
Several years working in the Far East cosmetics & personal industry with export experience.
Export & Commercial Experience
Extensive customer contacts in companies including Technical Managers / Buyers / Sales & Marketing Teams
Export of products with a good understanding of legislation across the region.
New business development – Proven track record in finding leads, developing relationships, evaluating sales potential, negotiating price
Introduction of new products to market experience – essential
Marketing – Social media, networking, presentation and attending exhibitions and seminars
Customer Focused – identification, proposal, presentation & report writing
Technical Experience – Formulation of cosmetics, skin care, sun care and personal care products. Understanding of Biological response. Understanding of microscopy, analytical techniques and testing. Expertise in all aspects of skin biology including photosensitivity, blood vessel dilation and contraction, ageing, etc. Knowledge of colour and regulatory legislation of benefit.
New Product Experience - Ideas, identification of potential customers, launch of new products to market
Leadership of export sales and new business development in Far East
Knowledge of export regulations and local regulatory legislation.
Administration – communication, logistics and report writing essential
Must be fluent in English or French
Willingness to travel Internationally for up to three weeks at a time. Sales area will include: Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Shanghai, Canton, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, India, Middle east ( Dubai, Jordan, etc..).
