​NEW SALARY FEB 2022 £40 - £50K - depending on experience

Exciting role for a Development Chemist to develop new and innovative products for the construction industry such as industrial coatings and specialist screeds. Working for a leading UK manufacturer, you will enhance existing products, focusing on performance and environmental impact, and formulate new systems. The role involves running the quality control department and working closely with the factory.

Key Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Delivery of new products and projects

  • Identifying and sourcing new, environmentally friendly raw materials

  • Ensuring new products meet market requirements and standards

  • Working closely with all other key departments to maintain existing product range and bring new products to the market e.g. Marketing, Product Management, Quality Dept, Operations, Sales, Applications & Technical Teams.

  • Work in accordance with Health and Safety policies, product safety regulations and quality systems (e.g. ISO9001) of both the business and the R&D department.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in Chemistry working specifically with Polymers and Epoxy & Polyurethane Resins

  • Experience of project management and progression of projects within cross-functional teams according to agreed time lines.

  • Time management- ability to multi task, plan and coordinate multiple ongoing product developments. Excellent communicator

  • Self-motivated, resilient, and self-reliant

  • Experienced report writer, competent in handling complex data, delivering reports and presentations.

  • Positive team contributor who can develop strong working relationships with all colleagues.

  • Innovative thinker and problem solver.
