​We are looking for an experienced Customer Service Manager to manage the EMEA customer service team to provide a first class service to customers in the region. Our client is a global manufacturer and supplier of specialty chemicals focused on the inks, coatings and adhesives market. Manufacturing and product development activities are located in the US, Europe and Asia with sales and distribution locations strategically positioned globally to best serve regional markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the commercial manager EMEA, managing the customer service representatives in the EMEA region.

  • In this diverse Management role, the Customer Service Manager is responsible for optimizing the customer service process with regard to presales, order entry and after sales in order to maximize service levels to customers.

Role:

  • Translates the global & regional company strategy into a EMEA Customer Service strategy.

  • Sets directions, guidelines and procedures and signalizes constraints in procedures and suggest solutions.

  • Drives continuous improvement and process optimization.

  • Is end responsible for pre-sales, order handling and after sales activities.

  • Manages the EMEA Customer Service employees.

  • Manage the Customer Service KPI’s.

  • Manage service level differentiation on customer segmentation.

  • Be pro-active in various company improvement projects across different departments.

  • Motivates and strengthens the individual employees; conduct performance appraisals in order to reach individual as well as departmental goals.

Candidate Profile

  • Several years experience in a customer service role within the chemicals, polymer or allied industry

  • Well-developed oral and written knowledge of English and Dutch language. Another (European) language in considered a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree/level

  • Ambitious, cooperative, inventive, you have a high decision accuracy and are strong at influencing people, optimizing resources and in taking initiatives.

  • You are flexible and you have a sense of urgency.
