Location: Home Based or UK Office (London, Manchester, Bristol, Oxford).

Our client is looking for an experienced Consortium Manager / Regulatory Manager to lead projects for consortiums of high profile clients to drive sustainability strategies for chemicals. You will provide technical expertise and coordinate collaborative teams from around the world. The global client base includes corporate multinationals, local government and SME's.

  • As part of the Sustainability Chemistry Group you will lead consortia with the remit of providing guidance for European industrial chemicals regulation (REACH). similar global regulations and non-regulatory areas.

  • You will be managing the day-to-day administrative, financial and regulatory functions of the consortia with support from Accounts and technical experts. You will also be positioned to expand the consortium portfolio into new areas, such as the characterisation of polymers

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of consortia, including but not limited to REACH and REACH-like schemes

  • Develop and maintain global data-sharing cost models and administer the sale of letters of access

  • Oversee daily administration and financial management of the consortia Assess opportunities for the development and implementation of global data-sharing and cost sharing models with particular focus on existing regulatory dossiers

  • Identify opportunities to further support the individual members of the consortia Expand the consortium portfolio

Candidate Profile:

  • Professional required with at least 5 years’ experience in business-oriented Regulatory Affairs and/or Product Stewardship in the industrial chemicals sector

  • Must have science degree (preferably chemistry) with experience of working with technically complex products and the regulatory environment in which they are sold and used.

  • Experience of managing multiple projects in parallel

  • Experience of the consultancy sector or consortium management would be a further advantage.

  • Previous background or passion for sustainability preferred
