Our client is a fast-growing cleantech group for the application of chemistry and nanotechnology to enable novel material solutions, needed for a zero-carbon world. They supply nanomaterials and surface treatments to meet growing demand from the transport sector and is developing new applications in areas ranging from novel battery technologies to hydrogen transportation and renewable energy. They are seeking a Commercial Consultant to advise, provide market intelligence and support new business development in the automotive industry in the UK, Europe and Internationally.
A highly experienced commercial professional you will have a proven track record of new business development, ideally in the sales or specification of surface treatment, coatings and automotive finishes. You will have an entrepreneur a flair to inspire the commercial team with experience of development of strategic business partnerships.
Using network of industrial contacts, lead engagement with, commercial and joint development partners for uses of the technology in the automotive industry.
Generate leads with coating and paint manufactures, materials suppliers, Tier 1 manufacturers, and OEM’s.
Support the commercial team in converting partners programs and opportunities to paying customers
Working closely with the commercial team to align strategic direction with technology opportunities.
Many years experience in new business development of coatings, materials or surface treatments into the automotive industry
Access to network of key players in the automotive industry UK, EU and Internationally.
Proven track record of identification and conversion of new customers
Excellent communication skills with proven ability to make strategic commercial decision
Experience of introduction of new technology would be advantageous.
A moderate technical understanding of the Coatings/Surface Treatment /Materials Industry
Requirement for travel both within the UK and globally in order to develop and maintain relationships with potential partners.
You must have the right to work in the UK, hold a valid UK driving license.
This is a long term Consultancy arrangement with an expectation of several days per month as required by the senior management team. In addition to an attractive consultancy fee, expenses and equity are on offer.
In return our client will offer a unique opportunity to contribute to the success growth of the organisation with long term consultations planned and equity in the company. It is expected that the Consultant will work approximately 1 day per month with occasional visits to the UK site. All reasonable expenses paid.
