​Our client is a leading manufacturer of paints, supplying customers around the world. They are seeking a Chemist to assist the Technical Manager will all aspects of technical administration and regulatory affairs. You will have experience of MSDS and some EU and UK REACH knowledge and experience.

This role will ideally suit a chemist who is seeking to leave the laboratory and take up a career in regulatory affairs. Full training and support will be provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Technical Manager with the creation, maintenance and submission of EU/UK REACH documentation

  • Authoring and maintenance of Safety Data Sheets .

  • Provide technical responses to customer enquiries for all types of regulatory requests

  • Produce technical marketing documents - one-page regulatory information sheets, covering the most common regulatory requests to provide concise summaries of all products for customers

  • Manage regulatory worklist, assigning tasks to team members based on appropriate knowledge and skills

  • Present regulatory updates to management meetings

  • Consult with local representatives in other regions to arrange pre-registrations and inventory notifications for relevant countries

Candidate Profile

  • A Degree or higher in Chemistry, Material Science or Polymer Science.

  • Experience of producing safety data sheets within a manufacturing environment

  • Experience of the manufacture of paints or similar product will be advantageous

  • Attention to detail, good communication and computer literacy are essential.
