Home based with customer visits
Our client is a leading international manufacturer of chemicals who develop bespoke technical solutions for customers. They are seeking an experienced technical sales & service manager to provide technical and commercial support customers in the elastomer sector. You will be responsible for all technical details, managing accounts and winning new business. The successful candidate will have a first class background in polyurethane technology and experience of rigid foam applications.
EH&S and compliance standards are met during all Technical Service activity. Provide training to customers on topics about processing, product quality and safe use of chemical.
Provide customers with product and service information and respond to customer questions about the materials performance and processing.
Actively manages a number of assigned accounts in line with tactics agreed for each business area looking to optimize the way to sell materials.
Drive to win new business, in line with strategic direction of each business area, selling standard materials. Actively engage with the NBD portfolio adding in opportunities.
To help prepare comprehensive business cases for new opportunities requiring technical work.
Develop and maintain excellent polyurethane processing knowledge, including a understanding of process equipment.
Resolve customer issues by visiting customers with processing issues as a priority (in line with service levels).
During customer meetings, present additional products and services that could benefit the customer
Develop and maintain a relationship with industry machine providers helping them commission machines
First class background in polyurethane technology and experience of rigid foam applications.
