Role Overview:
As a Technical & Scientific Recruiter, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, attracting, and recruiting top-tier talent across various scientific, commercial, regulatory and technical disciplines. You will partner with hiring managers and stakeholders to source candidates who are not only a technical fit but also align with our values and long-term vision. This position offers the flexibility of working both from our Dartford office and from home, providing the best of both worlds in a dynamic and collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Sourcing & Attraction: Proactively source, engage, and attract high-calibre candidates in the technical and scientific fields, including R&D, sales, quality and operations.
Candidate Screening: Conduct detailed candidate assessments, including resume reviews, interviews, and technical evaluations to ensure strong alignment with role requirements.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop recruiting strategies that meet business objectives.
Recruitment Process Management: Oversee the entire recruitment lifecycle, from job postings, and candidate selection, through to offer negotiations and onboarding.
Building Talent Pipelines: Maintain and grow a network of commercial and scientific professionals, utilizing recruitment platforms, job boards, and networking events.
Market Research: Stay up to date on trends in the technical and scientific industries, ensuring we remain competitive in attracting top talent.
Employer Branding: Contribute to enhancing our employer brand through online presence, social media, and engagement in scientific and technical communities.
Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all recruitment activities comply with legal requirements and provide regular updates and reports on recruitment metrics.
Candidate Profile:
Required:
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Must enjoy talking to people on the phone, video and in person.
Experience of working with the general public or in a B2B role
Interest in the chemical, polymer, personal care, cosmetics, life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or similar fields.
Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent computer literacy. CRM or database experience would be ideal
A proactive, results-oriented approach with a passion for sourcing high-quality candidates.
You must have the right to work in the UK, sponsorship is not available
You must live within commuting distance of the Dartford office.
Preferred Experience:
A level in Chemistry, a Science Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant scientific or technical field (e.g., chemistry, polymers, material science, engineering, cosmetics, pharmaceutical etc.).
Experience recruiting for technical roles in a high-growth or fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of current trends and challenges in the technical/scientific recruitment market.
