Are you an experienced chemical sales professional looking to progress your career? We have an exciting role with a global chemical distributor. You will join the UK industrial team and report to the Business Unit Manager. The primary responsibilities would be for the sales and marketing of pigment portfolios.

Your responsibilities:

  • To monitor and grow sales in the UK & Ireland focusing on pigments.

  • To help formulate strategy within the relevant lines of business within the UK and rest of Europe

  • To foster excellent relations with suppliers and customers

  • To provide commercial and technical support to UK account managers

  • To negotiate purchase and sales contracts with suppliers and customers

  • To balance the supply and demand of products and manage the logistics

  • To monitor customer service, technical and product requirements

  • To support the development of new distributorships

Ideal Candidate:

  • Be a self-motivated individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills in all environments

  • Be able to take information and distil and re-distribute the relevant parts as appropriate

  • Have some sales or product management experience in the distribution of specialty materials and additives, preferably within Pigment industry across the various business sectors

  • Be IT literate having a working knowledge of Microsoft Applications, ERP and CRM systems.

  • Strong analytical skills - ability to analyse, manipulate, interpret, and present data

  • Have a strong attention to detail, identifying and proactively highlighting any data discrepancies

  • Be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and to prioritise accordingly.

  • Be a team worker with a friendly manner.

  • Must have the right to work in the UK

  • Must have a UK driving licence
