Our client is a long established manufacturer with a global network of distributors and customers. They are seeking an experienced formulator with a manufacturing background, you will have first class project management and problem solving skills with a track record in innovation. This hands on role will encompass transfer to production, improve coating processes and collaborations with customers and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead research on steel substrates and epoxy coatings.
Improve coating processes on steel substrates.
Drive continuous improvement in product performance.
Support materials engineering aspects of research and development.
Manage development projects from lab concepts to production solutions.
Collaborate with coating material suppliers and external partners.
Review and enhance process knowledge through continuous improvement.
Assess processing conditions and their effects on product quality.
Identify non-optimal process conditions and troubleshoot deficiencies.
Ensure product quality testing meets Company standards.
Contribute to the development of industry standards.
Produce technical reports on coating and process development projects.
Maintain technical knowledge of standard products and their properties.
Provide technical input on manufacturing projects and capital investments.
Promote safety and excellence through personal conduct.
General Responsibilities:
Manage and develop the Coatings & Process Development Specialist.
Ensure health & safety compliance.
Deliver high service levels to internal and external stakeholders.
Travel as needed for role objectives.
Candidate Requirements:

Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials, Engineering, Chemistry, or related discipline.
Excellent written and spoken English, strong math's skills and use of spreadsheets.
