We are looking for an ambitious Graduate to join our Dartford office and receive full training to become a specialist recruiter within these industries.
The Role
You'll learn all aspects of recruitment, including:
Sourcing and interviewing candidates
Managing recruitment processes
Building relationships with clients and candidates
Advertising vacancies and market mapping
Using LinkedIn and other tools to identify talent
Attending industry networking events, conferences and exhibitions
Representing Merritt Recruitment at trade shows and exhibition stands
Requirements
Degree qualified in any discipline.
A background in Chemistry, Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Polymer Science, Materials Science or a related subject is desirable.
Alternatively, experience in Recruitment, Talent Acquisition, HR, Resourcing or a customer-facing commercial role, combined with a genuine interest in science and technology sectors.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Confident building professional relationships and speaking with people at all levels.
Commercially minded and motivated to develop a career in recruitment.
Must live within commuting distance of Dartford.
Must have the unrestricted right to work in the UK.
No relocation assistance or visa sponsorship available.

Ideal Candidate
This role would suit either:
A science graduate looking to build a commercial career outside the laboratory;
or
A graduate with recruitment, HR, talent acquisition or resourcing experience who has an interest in scientific, technical and manufacturing sectors.
