Are you commercially aware with experience in the chemical industry and would like to join a fun and dynamic customer service team supporting sales and supply chain departments? You will be working with European customers so good communication skills and European languages are essential. Our client is a global manufacturer and supplier of specialty chemicals focused on the inks, coatings and adhesives market. Manufacturing and product development activities are located in the US, Europe and Asia with sales and distribution locations strategically positioned globally to best serve regional markets.
EU Locations: Flexible working will be considered, candidates will ideally be located in the Netherlands and other locations such as France, Germany, Belgium, Italy or Spain.
Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales
Frequent customer contact in order to maintain and increase the sales volume and supports sales to enlarge the product range.
Obtains knowledge about customers and their activities. Informs Sales and Supply Chain colleagues about relevant issues.
Provides all sales related documents to customers (PDS/MSDS/COA/Long term declarations or other on request).
Order Handling
Order acceptance and registration.
Communication to customers about optimizing order volume in order to minimize logistics costs.
Coordinating transportation to customers with logistic provider and monitors deliveries to customers.
After Sales
Registration and follow up on customer complaints.
Follow up with customers on deliveries after sales.
Candidate Profile
Degree level
At least 3 years of experience in the chemical industry with customer facing experience
Fluent in English. Considered a plus are candidates who have well developed skills in other languages such as French / German / Spanish)
Experienced with SAP /ERP-systems
Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
Adept at problem solving, with sound business judgment and strong analytical skills.
Positive and proactive attitude with an eye for detail and a strong challenger mentality
Ability to work effectively in a high pace global environment.
