Our client is one ofEurope’s leading suppliers of chemicals, specialty polymers and additives to the CASE industries. Our products are used by companies who formulate and manufacture coatings, construction products, adhesives, textiles, plastics, industrial chemicals and more. To further their business growth plans, they are looking for a passionate, self-motivated, technically qualified individual to develop the CASE business in the UK & Ireland.
As the Business Development Manager you will be responsible for business development across the UK and Ireland. You will be supporting the CASE Sales team and helping to drive business growth through market penetration and portfolio expansion. There is a strong emphasis on building and managing a robust pipeline of strategic customer opportunities, alongside initiating and converting leads into pipeline opportunities. You will apply technical and commercial experience to grow the customer base through a pipeline of medium- and longer-term opportunities. A chemistry background and/or degree combined with previous commercial selling experience would be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Develop a strong market reputation for the company through proactive networking and sales of the coatings, construction, and composites product portfolios .
Grow and nurture customer technical relationships using a technically consultative approach based on an in depth product and application knowledge.
Collaborate with the Sales Teams on campaigns to drive sales growth through regular customer visits.
Use regular Customer visits to advise and support on new product development.
Collaborate with the Sales Team on appropriate pricing strategies to maximize overall profitability for specialty products.
Network with customers and suppliers at Industry events and champion the use of appropriate marketing communications via social media to develop new customer relationships.
Providing insights to the business on industry developments and market trends through review of customer, supplier, competitor and industry news sources.
Attend Product training with suppliers and share market and technical expertise.
Assist the Technical Support teams on ad-hoc customer technical queries.
Record all sales related activities within the company CRM system.
Collaborate with Product Management and Quality regarding issues and claims.

Technical qualifications
Min. 5 years of relevant Industry commercial experience

Proficient use of computer systems (CRM, MS office, Teams in particular)
Clean driving license
Existing right to work in the UK - sponsorship is not available.
